OVERVIEW

Lisa is an associate with experience in commercial, competition, public law and human rights disputes.

Expertise

Lisa joined Hausfeld as a paralegal, trained at the firm and was promoted to Associate in March 2024. She has assisted on different high-profile commercial and competition litigation cases within the firm and has been an integral part preparing the team during all stages of litigation, including drafting witness statements, bundle preparation and conducting legal research. 

Prior to joining Hausfeld, Lisa was a research intern with Bechtle AG, a multinational technology company, and a teaching assistant at Tilburg University’s Liberal Arts and Sciences programme.

Lisa played an active role as part of Hausfeld’s ‘Return to the Office Working group’ after the Pandemic. Working towards a diverse, equitable and inclusive work force is paramount to Lisa who is an active member of Hausfeld's Women’s Alliance group and our Social Inclusion group.

She is is a native German speaker and knows basic French.

Antitrust/Competition

Lisa has assisted the Hausfeld teams working on the following matters:

  • the Trucks Cartel litigation at the High Court against Daimler, Volvo, Iveco, MAN and DAF in which it found that they coordinated the pricing of trucks over a 14-year period between 1997 and 2011
  • a possible collective action against ComparetheMarket on behalf of 20 million consumers.
  • Acting on behalf of individual and business clients in relation to the alleged use by Mercedes of so-called ‘defeat devices’ for the purposes of cheating emissions testing. The team have issued claims on behalf of thousands of clients affected by Mercedes’ alleged conduct and are part of the Steering Committee of firms running the litigation.

Human Rights

Lisa was part of the team representing 38 British gymnasts - including 4 Olympians - against British Gymnastics in relation to allegations of systemic physical and psychological abuse perpetrated by coaches, and other personnel employed by British Gymnastics, upon children as young as six.

Public Law

Lisa supported the team on a judicial review related to the handing out of PPE contracts by the Government during Covid-19.

Financial Services & Banking

Lisa has assisted the Hausfeld teams working on the following matters:

  • Acting on behalf of Phillip Evans to represent a collective action against 6 global banks who manipulated the FX market.
