OVERVIEW

Johannes is an experienced litigation attorney with a focus on complex commercial disputes.

He provides comprehensive legal counsel and representation to companies – from strategic case preparation to litigation, including damages claims and preliminary injunction proceedings. Clients value his legal precision as well as his strong economic insight and deep understanding of relevant market environments.

A particular focus of his practice lies in antitrust and competition law in the digital and platform economy. Johannes enforces claims under the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and in abuse of dominance cases – such as self-preferencing, refusal to deal, or exclusion from platforms.
He also has extensive experience in commercial and capital markets litigation, as well as in managing complex mass proceedings. He represents clients in enforcing shareholder rights in takeover situations, in cases involving breaches of disclosure obligations, and in liability disputes.

Johannes has been practicing law since 2016. Before joining Hausfeld, he worked for an international commercial law firm in Munich and Paris, and as a research associate at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.

He speaks German, English, and French. He studied law in Erlangen, Rennes, and Krakow, and holds a Master’s degree in European Law (Master en droit européen, spécialité juriste franco-allemand) as well as an LL.M. in German-Polish Business Law.
